At VIP NeuroRehabilitation Center our two-fold mission is:
To first bring top-quality outpatient NeuroRehabilitation care to disabled military, veterans, children, and ALL who are in need. We treat ages 4 years old and up. Our focus is on those who have difficulty moving secondary to Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord Injury, and multiple traumas. And second to create a facility run by the patients, solely focusing on the patients. We operate as a family, striving to customize every therapy program specifically to the needs of each patient. VIP History
VIP NeuroRehabilitation Center (VIP) was created as an outgrowth of Medical Rehabilitation and Kinematics (MRK) Lab, Inc. which was owned by VIP's Founder, Dr. Bradley Marcus.
After operating MRK Lab for two years, Dr. Marcus realized that there was a greater need for a non-profit therapy center here in San Diego County. This non-profit therapy center would be run by the clients with advice and guidance from a Board of Directors; with backgrounds in medicine and physical rehabilitation.
VIP NeuroRehabilitation Center was born on July 7, 2011 and utilized equipment, staff and space from MRK Lab with a focus on providing affordable physical therapy.
In 2015, VIP grew into its own stand-alone non-profit under the direction of patient and former Navy Seal, David Charbonnet, by providing physical therapy, educating patients and families regarding neurological conditions and supplying resources about nutrition, stress reduction and the benefits of exercise.
And in 2023, VIP announced that Brian Terrell, will step into the role of Executive Director. Brian began working at VIP in 2016 as a Physical Therapy Technician and has been promoted multiple times over the last 7 years for his hard work, consistency, and understanding of patient needs. His most recent role as VIP Manager has prepared him well to take on the role of Executive Director of VIP and we are confident he will excel as leader of the non-profit. Brian is supported by our Board of Directors and amazing staff as this transition takes place.
