VIP History
VIP NeuroRehabilitation Center (VIP) was founded as an outgrowth of Medical Rehabilitation and Kinematics (MRK) Lab, Inc., established by Dr. Bradley Marcus.
After operating MRK Lab for two years, Dr. Marcus recognized a greater need in San Diego County: a non-profit therapy center let by its clients and supported by a Board of Directors with expertise in medicine and physical rehabilitation. With this vision, VIP NeuroRehabilitation Center was officially founded on July 7, 2011, utilizing the equipment, staff, and space of MRK Lab to focus on delivering affordable physical therapy.
In 2015, VIP became a stand-alone non-profit under the leadership of patient and former Navy Seal, David Charbonnet. With a renewed mission, VIP expanded its services to not only provide physical therapy, but also to educate patients and families about neurological conditions, nutrition, stress reduction, and the benefits of exercise.
In 2023, VIP proudly announced Brian Terrell as its new Executive Director. Brian joined VIP in 2016 as a Physical Therapy Technician and has steadily advanced through several leadership roles due to his dedication, consistency, and deep understanding of patient care. His most recent role as VIP Manager has prepared him to lead the organization with excellence. Brian is supported by a strong Board of Directors and an exceptional staff as VIP continues to grow.
Today, VIP stands as one of Southern California's leading neurorehabilitation centers, where patients are challenged physically and supported emotionally in a caring, community-focused environment.
