Lokomat by Hocoma

Lokomat Therapy is used to improve mobility and health in patients who have experienced neurological diseases and/or injuries, such as, stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
The Lokomat is an assisted treadmill which allows patients to walk upright, with the support of a harness and robotic leg controls. Our technician is able to adjust the system to each patient’s specific needs, such as, walking speed, weight bearing, and gait pattern. It can also be adjusted for adult and pediatric patients.
This is one of the most advanced therapies available for gait training and neurological re-training today and the only public facility to offer two (2) Lokomats in San Diego - Lokomat Pro and Lokomat Nanos!

Neofect Smart Glove

Neofect Smart Glove in partnership with interactive training games to measure movements of the forearm, wrist, and digits with accelerometer and bending sensors. Their training programs promote motor learning and brain reorganization to improve arm and hand function for adults rehabilitating from stroke.

RT300-SL Functional Electrical Stimulation Bike

RT300-SL Functional Electrical Stimulation Bike (FES Bike) is a therapy that allows patients to move legs in a cycling motion with the benefit of electrical stimulation- the Sage System. The Sage system allows for wireless FES to be performed on multiple muscle groups to stimulate the muscles which support activities such as upper extremity reaching, sit-ups, bridges, planks.

Giger

The Giger is a great therapy tool for working the entire body and increasing overall health in patients at VIP NeuroRehab! The Giger can be used by both adults and pediatric patients. This machine allows patients to use their own motion to power feet and/or hand pedals in a cycling motion. The pedals are coordinated slightly off pattern to challenge the muscles and cognitive functions. VIP offers multiple Giger machines at our facility to ensure patients have continued access!

Biodex

The Biodex Balance System SD has been designed to meet the needs of everyone looking to improve balance, increase agility, develop muscle tone and treat a wide variety of pathologies. Featuring easy-to-follow touchscreen operation, the Balance System SD is simple to learn and operate, leading the user step-by-step through testing protocols and training modes in both static and dynamic formats.

VersaPully

VersaPulley is a high/low strength exercise pulley machine that combines speed, power and functional mobility through any range of motion with accommodating inertial resistance at any speed, just like sports. The VersaPulley was designed to enhance sport movement and athletic performance. The resistance used is based on patented MV² technology.

Impulse Trainer

Impulse is an exercise technology catering specifically to neuromuscular education. Exercise simultaneously develops acceleration, balance, scapular mobility, core stability, and hip, knee, and ankle stabilization (simultaneously).
All of the crucial elements needed to speed up the recovery process. Impulse teaches the feet and hands to work together along with everything in between.
Recovery is faster than cables, cable columns, elastic bands, or ergometers. Impulse has played a major role in enhancing the lives of patients in rehabilitation, bringing dreams to reality in young athletes, and bringing world championships to the elite of professional athletes.
