VIP Equipment & Technology

At VIP NeuroRehabilitation Center, we integrate state-of-the-art equipment into our personalized physical therapy and training programs to help each patient reach their full potential.

Below, we have highlighted some of our most frequently asked-about tools and technologies.

Lokomat by Hocoma

Lokomat Therapy is designed to enhance mobility and promote recovery in individuals affected by neurological conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and more.

The Lokomat is a cutting-edge robotic treadmill system that enables patients to walk in an upright position using a body-weight support harness and robotic leg guidance. Our trained technicians personalize each session by adjusting factors like walking speed, weight-bearing level, and gait pattern - ensuring therapy is tailored to each person's unique needs. The system id adaptable for both adult and pediatric patients.

VIP is proud too be the only public facility in San Diego offering two Lokomat systems - the Lokomat PRO and Lokomat Nanos - making us a leader in advanced gait training and neurological rehabilitation,

Neofect Smart Glove

The Neofect Smart Glove  uses advanced bending sensors and accelerometers to measure movements of the forearm, wrist, and fingers. Paired with interactive games, it provides engaging, real-time feedback to support motor learning and neuroplasticity.

This technology is designed to help adults recovering from stroke improve arm and hand function through repetitive, goal-oriented therapy that's both fun and effective.

RT-300 Functional Electrical Stimulation Bike

The RT-300 Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Bike combines cycling motion with functional electrical stimulation to produce patterned muscle contractions in patients with neurological impairments. Using sophisticated control algorithms and real-time biofeedback, the system delivers coordinated electrical impulses through electrodes placed on the skin to activate the muscles.

We are excited to now offer the updated RT-300 model, which extends electrical stimulation to the upper extremities. This expanded capability makes the RT-300 a versatile rehabilitation tool, supporting patterned movement and muscle re-education across both the upper and lower body to help patients prevent muscle atrophy, reduce spasms, improve circulation, and work toward greater functional strength and independence.

Giger Therapy System

The Giger is a full-body therapy device that promotes movement, coordination, and overall health for both adult and pediatric patients. Using a unique, slightly off-pattern pedal motion, it challenges both muscular and cognitive function while allowing patients to power the machine with their own movement - whether using hands, feet, or both.

With multiple Giger systemsavailable on-site, VIP ensures patients have consistent access to this versatile and effective therapy tool.

Galileo Delta A TiltTable

The Galileo® Delta A TiltTable is a motorized tilt table designed to provide supported, progressive weight-bearing therapy for patients who are unable to stand on their own. The system's motor-driven tilt angle adjusts from 0 to 90 degrees, allowing for gradual increases to the patient's weight-bearing load.

Primary therapy goals include improving muscle strength in the legs and trunk, alleviating contractures, and stimulating blood circulation.  The Galileo Delta A TiltTable also offers optional vibration capabilities, adding an additional layer of therapy when appropriate. Whether used for gentle positioning or progressive weight-bearing rehabilitation, the Galileo Delta A TiltTable supports patients in regaining strength and function at their own pace.

Biodex Balance System SD

The Biodex Balance System SD is a versatile tool designed to help users improve balance, enhance agility, build muscle tone, and support recovery from a wide range of conditions. With an intuitive touchscreen interface, it guides patients through personalized assessments and training programs in both static and dynamic modes.

Whether used for fall prevention, rehab, or athletic performance, the Biodex makes balance training accessible, effective, and easy to use.

VersaPully

The VersaPulley is a high/low strength training system that blends speed, stability, and functional mobility - mirroring the dynamic demands of real-life movement. Using patented MV² technology, the VersaPulley provides accommodating inertial resistance through any range of motion and at any speed, making it ideal for low-impact rehab as well as advanced recovery.

Its ability to mimic real-life movement patterns makes the VersaPulley especially effective for retraining muscles, restoring balance, and supporting a safe return to daily activities or sport.

Impulse Training System

Impulse is a cutting-edge exercise technology designed specifically for neuromuscular re-education. It simultaneously targets key elements of functional movement - such as balance, scapular mobility, core stability, and lower limb stabilization - to support faster and more effective recovery.

by teaching the hands and feet to work in coordination with the entire body, Impulse helps retrain movement patterns, improve motor control, and accelerate progress beyond what's typically seen with cables, bands, or ergometers.

At VIP NeuroRehab,
Impulse has played a powerful role in helping patients regain independence, restore confidence, and reach life-changing milestones in their rehabilitation journey.
